Speakers

Chris Hempstead is Managing Director of ETF and Global Portfolio Trading at Mirae. He is an ETF and portfolio trader helping trading desks, asset managers and ETF issuers navigate the ETF landscape. Chris has established Mirae as an ETF Authorized Participant for some of the largest ETF trusts and has established global portfolio trading at Mirae to support ETF managers with complex trading needs. He also assists managers in executing portfolio rebalances for ETFs. Mirae also acts as a market maker for select ETFs and works closely with new and existing managers to ensure their new ETF listing experience is without any surprises

Amanda Mentis is Executive Director within J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Capital Markets group. She is responsible for managing the group’s broker dealer and exchange relationships along with delivering market insights, trading guidance and product structure expertise to J.P. Morgan’s clients.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Amanda spent several years at Societe Generale, where she was a sales-trader on both the ETF and Quantitative Trading desks, covering institutional clients and retail trading desks from a principal and agency perspective across all asset classes. On the Quantitative Trading desk, she focused on algorithmic and high-touch trading for US, Canada and LatAm investors. Prior to Societe Generale, Amanda traded listed equity and index options at Newedge and began her career on Natixis’ Structured Products desk where she was involved in various strategic marketing initiatives.
Amanda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Rutgers Business School.

Brian Chen is Head of ETF Capital Markets supporting Schwab Asset Management™. Mr. Chen monitors primary market activity and secondary market quality for the Schwab ETFs. He also manages relationships with authorized participants, market makers, stock exchanges, and regulators. In addition, Mr. Chen partners with distribution channels to support and service Schwab ETF clients.
Prior to joining Schwab in 2018, Mr. Chen spent more than a decade trading ETFs, bonds, and related derivatives as a market maker and portfolio manager focused on arbitrage. Before this, he was the head of fixed income ETF trading at Citadel Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and RBC Capital Markets in New York. Prior to these firms, Mr. Chen spent several years as a sell-side analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase.
Mr. Chen earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Columbia Business School and Bachelor of Arts degrees in mathematics and economics from Northwestern University. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds Series 7, 24, 53, 55, 63, and 87 licenses.

Brad is a Vice President in the SPDR Capital Markets Group and is the head of the ETF Execution Strategy & Analytics Group, where he faces off with SPDR clients of all channels, on the topics of ETF mechanics, use cases, trading, liquidity and markets.
Prior to joining SSGA, Brad was a market maker of Fixed Income ETFs and corporate bonds for Knight Capital Group and Cantor Fitzgerald for 6 years. Before that, he worked at MarketAxess, trading individual bonds and focusing on Fixed Income ETF primary markets. Brad began his career at Merrill Lynch in Credit Sales, and Structured Products.
Brad holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University, and holding FINRA Series 7, 24, 53, and 63 licenses.
