
Commissioner Sharon Bowen serves as the Chair of the New York Stock Exchange, the first woman or person of color to hold that position. She was the first African American to be appointed as Commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, serving from 2014 to 2017, and was earlier appointed by President Obama to serve as Vice Chair and Acting Chair of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation from 2010 to 2014. Her groundbreaking career includes three decades working in corporate and transactional law.
Bowen currently serves on the Boards of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., Neuberger Berman Group LLC and Akamai Technologies, Inc. She is a partner at Seneca Women, which connects and advances women in the economy. Bowen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia as well as a joint Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management and Juris Doctor from Pritzker School of Law, both at Northwestern University. During her time at Northwestern, she served as Managing Editor of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business. Bowen has also served as a former Executive Committee Member and Chair of the Law School Board. In 2023, she received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Northwestern, and in 2024, the Distinguished Alumni Award.
Bowen has served as a member of the Board and Emeritus Board of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, Inc., the Boards of New York City Economic Development Corporation, and Public Education Needs Civil Involvement in Learning. Her other achievements include: 2022 Women in Derivatives Luminary Lifetime Achievement Award, 2011 Diversity Trailblazer Award of the New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association 2007 Diversity Champion, and Metropolitan Black Bar Association 2006 Lawyer of the Year. In 2022, she was inducted into the Futures Industry Association Hall of Fame.

Shaz Kahng is a visionary leader and inventive thinker who is passionate about consumer-focused businesses. A serial board director and CEO, Shaz is adept at turning around and scaling businesses and brands in retail, apparel, footwear, consumer goods, and consumer tech.
Shaz brings a wealth of experience running business at Nike and leading companies, as CEO of Lucy Activewear and Gymboree. Currently she serves as board director and chair of the nominating & governance committee for GoPro. She is a founder and board member of Wharton Alumni for Boards focusing on placing more Wharton alumni on boards. Additionally, she serves on the board of nonprofit LiveGirl building the next generation of female leaders.
Shaz is the author of two award winning novels, The Closer and Smashers Synched, about the first female CEO of a sports company and the secret society of professional women, called the Ceiling Smashers, who help her succeed.
In her free time Shaz practices Tae Kwon Do (she and her daughters are black belts), she is a tennis team captain, a golfer who dreams of having a single digit handicap, and a novice surfer.

Nichelle Maynard-Elliott, Founder and CEO of Dunamis Transaction Advisors LLC, is an accomplished dealmaker and advisor to boards and senior management with 25+ years of extensive financial and legal experience in M&A, business development and strategic alliances. Maynard-Elliott is the former Head of M&A, Americas and Asia Pacific for Praxair, Inc. (now Linde plc), where she evaluated and negotiated global acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other business combinations.
Maynard-Elliott is an independent director of Xerox Holdings Corporation (Compensation Committee Chair), and Lucid Group, Inc, and an independent trustee of The Advisors’ Inner Circle Fund III (Governance Committee Chair).
Maynard-Elliott holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from Brown University.
Maynard-Elliott is a former member of the Transaction Advisors’ M&A Leadership Council, an M&A thought leader roundtable. Maynard-Elliott was named a 2023 Director to Watch by Directors & Boards, one of BoardProspects 2024 100 Black Board Members Making a Difference and one of 2024’s Most Influential Black Directors by Savoy. Maynard-Elliott also serves on numerous not-for-profit boards for her church and denomination and is the founder/director of the gospel choir, Bronx Bethany’s Chosen.
Maynard-Elliott and her husband live in Mount Kisco, NY. Their son is a 2024 graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts and their daughter is a junior at Brown University.

Director - Enterprise Risk, Delta Airlines
Eric Mai is the Director, Enterprise Risk Management for Delta Air Lines. In this role, he is responsible for the development, execution, and delivery of Delta's Enterprise Risk Management program and methodology. He works closely with Delta’s senior leadership team and the board of directors on aspects of risk management and risk governance. This includes participation on numerous risk-oriented committees across the enterprise pertaining to ESG, business continuity, emergency management, safety, security, brand and reputation risk, supply chain and 3rd party risk management. Prior to joining Delta, Eric worked for Novelis, Inc., a global aluminum recycling and rolled products manufacturer, where he held roles of increasing importance in Finance, Procurement, Sales, and most recently as Director, Corporate Strategy and Enterprise Risk Management.
Eric received a Risk Governance certificate and is a Qualified Risk Director, (QRD®) from the DCRO Institute, and Certificate in Private Company Governance from the Private Directors Association (PDA). He is recognized as an ERM Fellow by NC State University, active on the NC State ERM Initiative Advisory Board and Atlanta Risk Council.
Eric serves as Board Director for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council and Chairs the Strategic Planning Committee. He has recently served as Board member and Board Chair for the Robert D. Fowler YMCA, and Board Director for the Children’s Museum of Atlanta serving as Chair of the Operations Committee. Other non-profit Board engagements and service include Habitat for Humanity, Oswego Energy Center Initiative, and Compass Federal Credit Union.
