New Leadership

Lynn Martin has been appointed the 68th President of the New York Stock Exchange. Lynn is no stranger to ETFs and was previously head of ICE Fixed Income and Data Services, where many of our issuers worked with her team.

Season 1 of First Look ETFs: Examining New ETFs was launched this year, in which NYSE Arca-listed issuers sat down with ETFguide TV to discuss the newest and latest in ETFs.

A New Look for the Home of ETFs

We’re excited to share our newly redesigned HomeofETFs.com. Our new website will serve a hub for NYSE ETF Issuer perspectives and insights, serving investors seeking ETF-oriented educational content. The page combines educational content that the NYSE produces through our various media channels, NYSE-sponsored content from providers such as ETF Trends, ETFdb, Asset TV, ETF Guide and ETF Think Tank, and all the educational content produced by the NYSE issuer community.

The Year of the Active ETF

New active ETFs have by far outpaced overall new launches in 2021, making up over 70% of all new funds this year. Although still a sliver of the overall industry, active ETF launches and assets are rapidly gaining steam, gathering $90.1 billion in AUM inflows. There are 55 issuers now offering active ETFs with 66 new entrants in 2021. Active, semi-transparent ETFs have climbed to $5.26 billion in AUM in 2021, with over 75% of AUM listed at NYSE Arca across all approved structures.
