NYSE Arca Certification
All new customers must certify before going into production; NYSE Arca’s test system is fully automated and driven by actual market data when accessed during market hours (via frame relay or Internet). NYSE Arca also has a 24 hour test system that is driven with canned data outside of normal market hours. Before a subscriber can go live, it is mandatory to complete approved test scripts to become FIX Certified.
NYSE Arca was the first to provide a fully-automated method for customers to test their FIX connection through an interactive web browser that guides you through the certification suite. NYSE Arca Certification, the automated FIX certification and testing tool, gives individuals the freedom and flexibility to check their FIX orders through one simple and efficient source.
The revision history included in the specification manual details the changes, but major enhancements in this version include Attributable Quote (pending SEC approval), support for Listed and Bulletin Board quotes, improved recovery and a system event message.
