New York, Sept. 14, 2011 — Corporate Board Member is launching a series of convenient, easy-to-access educational webinars designed to provide directors and officers with critical updates on issues shaping the corporate governance landscape from experts in a variety of fields.

The series kicks off Thursday, Sept.15, at noon EDT with a one-hour webinar titled, “D&O Liability: The Risk of Serving on a Board.” The webinar features guest speaker Steve Guggenheim, a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosasti’s Palo Alto, Calif., office. This program will provide an in-depth look at directors’ personal and professional risks of sitting on a board, review Director & Officer policy trends, and offer tips on how board members can protect themselves.

This webinar will address the following questions, in addition to any raised by participants:

• Are board members really at greater risk today? What are the trends?
• What should directors know about their D&O policy?
• What are smart boards doing to protect themselves?
