-First-of-its-Kind Market Data Latency Transparency Website and Community Blog-

New York, June 17, 2010 - NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology unit of NYSE Euronext (NYX), and Corvil, a worldleader in latency management, today announced the launch of a jointly developed website, www.LatencyStats.com.   It is the first online resource to provide full transparency regarding latency performance with real-time snapshots of key performance statisticsand clear methodologies used for collecting and calculating the statistics.

Created to serve as a basis for best practices in latency transparency, LatencyStats.com is a freeonline tool that will allow market data publishers and users to compare latency performance on a like-for-like basis as verified by Corvil, a leading independent latency management company.  LatencyStats will also feature exclusive content and research from NYSE Euronext, Corvil and others offering important perspectives and information relevant to the latency-sensitive trading community.

“Together, NYSE Technologies and Corvil sought to create a truly innovative online resource that clearly and transparently defines how latency performance is measured across markets and products,” said Mark Schaedel, Senior Vice President, Global Data Products, NYSE Technologies.  “We believe that transparency enhances our customers’ ability to better understand performance behaviors and monitor our progress in our endless efforts to improve our speed.  By working with Corvil, we are able to provide both empirical evidence and transparent methodologies that our customers can trust.”

“Market participants need access to detailed latency and performance statistics of market data to assure predictability in their trading strategies,” said Donal Byrne, CEO, Corvil.  “This is the first time a leading securities exchange has offered this level of latency transparency and information quality for its market data services. We look forward to continued collaboration and further innovation with NYSE Technologies as we jointly seek to empower market participants with the information they need to be successful.”

LatencyStats.com will launch with the U.S. high-frequency feeds of NYSE ArcaBook and NYSE OpenBook.  It will later be expanded to include additional NYSE Euronext U.S. and European markets, plus a range of feeds available on the NYSE Technologies SuperFeed platform.  As the first website dedicated to latency transparency across exchanges and market data products, LatencyStats.com provides customers with verified standards in latency performance measurements.
