Based on information received from members and member organizations, short interest increased to 15,638,141,716 shares from 15,570,613,801 (revised) shares on June 30, 2009. This was an increase of 67,527,915 shares.
The short interest on July 15 was equal to 4.09 percent of the total shares outstanding.
The short interest in warrants as of July 15 amounted to 53,133 warrants, compared to 67,379 warrants the previous period.
