NYSE Euronext and Medley Global Advisors to Provide Macro Global Policy Intelligence to U.S.-Listed Issuers

NYSE and NYSE Amex-Listed Companies to Benefit from Regular Policy Insight

NEW YORK, May 1, 2009 --NYSE Euronext and Medley Global Advisors (MGA) today announced an agreement in which MGA will offer global macro policy intelligence to New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NYSE Amex-listed companies.

Medley Global Advisors' team of analysts and strategists led by Craig Sawin, MGA's president, will host regular, interactive webcasts, via the Digital Exchange, the NYSE's webcast series. Exclusive to NYSE and NYSE Amex-listed issuers, these interactive forums will evaluate macro political drivers which are critical to senior executives leading domestic and international businesses. In addition, MGA will publish weekly reports covering policy insights on events that drive interest rates, currency, equity and energy markets.

"As the global financial crisis prompts governments to be increasingly involved in economic decision making, corporate leaders need to fully understand the impact of global macro policy events on markets and business operations," said Joseph Mecane, EVP and Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. Markets for NYSE Euronext. "MGA's insights assist corporate leaders as they develop strategies and make decisions with increased confidence. Our partnership with MGA further underscores the Exchange's commitment to provide world-class, value-added services to our listed companies."

"Our focus on and experience in the policy world will assist NYSE and NYSE Amex-listed issuers with understanding the nuances of key policy decisions," said Craig Sawin, president of MGA. "We are unburdened by a need to ‘defend’ an economic view, or protect a market position as we are truly independent and do not manage money.  Our neutrality across ideologies, intellectual disciplines, and analytical approaches allows us to strip away biases, preconceptions, and other barriers to accurate policy insight."

To commemorate the NYSE Euronext-Medley Global Advisors partnership, Medley's President Craig Sawin will ring the NYSE closing bell on May 4, 2009.
