NEW YORK , Sept. 8, 2008 –NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced that Northern Exchange Traded Shares (NETS) Trust listed the NETS^tm Tokyo Stock Exchange REIT Index Fund on NYSE Arca. 

This is the first-ever ETF linked to a Japanese Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) to come to the US markets.   The NETS^tm Tokyo Stock Exchange REIT Index Fund joins NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol “JRE”.

The NETS^tm Tokyo Stock Exchange REIT Index Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of publicly-traded real estate investment trusts (REITs) in the aggregate in the Japanese market, as represented by the Tokyo Stock Exchange REIT index.

The underlying index is a free-float adjusted market capitalization-weighted index consisting of stocks of all the REITS traded primarily on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and is calculated using the same methodology used for the calculation of the Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX). As of Aug. 11, 2008, the underlying index’s three largest stocks were Nippon Building Fund, Inc., Japan Real Estate Investment Corporation and Nomura Real Estate Office Fund, Inc. The fund uses a representative sampling strategy in seeking to track the underlying index.
