Member Education Bulletins

Member Education Bulletins are published solely by the Market Surveillance Division and are typically addressed to Floor members. In contrast to Information Memos, which are issued by the various Divisions in the Regulatory Group, MEBs are not used to announce new rules or amendments to rules. Rather, they are used to publish interpretations of rules related to Floor trading and to clarify issues that are of particular interest to the Floor members, including brokers, specialists, registered competitive market makers and competitive traders. MEBs are also occasionally used as reminder notices. Member Education Bulletins from January 2001 through the present are available on the website.
