| Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) provides a range of banking and financial services, including retail, business and institutional banking, and wealth management services. In July 2008, the Company reorganized its business into four divisions serving around 6.9 million customers. These businesses include Westpac Retail and Business Banking (WRBB), BT Financial Group Australia (BTFG), Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and New Zealand Banking. On January 4, 2008, the Company acquired 100% interest in RAMS Franchising Pty. Limited., a franchise distribution business offering mortgage origination services. In November 2008, St. George Bank Ltd. and Westpac announced the implementation of their merger. |
