| Valeant Pharmaceuticals International is a pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and markets a range of pharmaceutical products. The Company focuses on the therapeutic areas of neurology, dermatology and infectious disease. It also treats among other things, neuromuscular disorders, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and psychiatric disorders. In addition, it has a research and development division. On January 14, 2008, the Company divested its Infergen product rights to Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals, LLC. In June 2008, Valeant Pharmaceuticals International announced that it has divested its Argentina commercial operations to one of the pharmaceutical companies in Argentina.
