| TransCanada Corporation (TransCanada) is an energy infrastructure company focused on pipelines and energy. During the year ended December 31, 2008, its pipelines business accounted for approximately 54% of revenues and energy accounted for approximately 46% of revenues. In August 2008, TransCanada announced that through its subsidiaries, it had acquired KeySpan-Ravenswood, LLC and KeySpan Ravenswood Services Corp., the companies which together own, control and operate the 2,480-megawatt Ravenswood Generating Station located in Queens, New York. In September 2008, TransCanada acquired Bison Pipeline LLC from Northern Border Pipeline Company. In July 2009, TC PipeLines, LP acquired North Baja Pipeline, LLC from TransCanada. |
