| Telefonos de Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V. owns and operates telecommunications system in Mexico. It is a nationwide provider of fixed-line telephony services. It also provides other telecommunications and telecommunications-related services, such as corporate networks, Internet access services, information network management, telephone and computer equipment sales, and interconnection services to other carriers. The Company has developed a multi-service network, in which more than 90% of the lines have the capacity to provide simultaneous transmission of voice and data through a broadband connection. At March 31, 2008, the Company had 17.8 million local fixed lines in service in Mexico. |
