| StatoilHydro ASA, formerly known as Statoil ASA, is an integrated oil and gas company based in several locations in Norway and internationally. The Company's focus is on exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas from the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). It has business operations in 40 countries. As of December 31, 2007, it had proved reserves of 2,389 million barrels (mmbbls) of oil and 576 billion cubic meters (bcm) (equivalent to 20.3 trillion cubic feet) of natural gas, corresponding to aggregate proved reserves of 6,010 million barrels-of-oil equivalent (mmboe). StatoilHydro ASA divides its operations into four reporting business segments: Exploration and Production Norway (E&P Norway), International Exploration and Production (International E&P), Natural Gas, and Manufacturing and Marketing. In June 2008, Dala Kraft AB announced that it has acquired StatoilHydro ASA's subsidiary Hydro Energi AB. |
