The Company operates in three Global Business Units (GBUs): Orthopaedics, Endoscopy and Advanced Wound Management. Included within the Orthopaedics segment are the Company's biologics activities, which consist of research and development projects. Smith & Nephew operates on a worldwide basis and has distribution channels in over 90 countries. Orthopaedics consists of reconstruction, trauma and clinical therapies products. Its Endoscopy business develops and commercialises endoscopic (minimally invasive surgery) techniques, educational programmes and services for surgeons to treat and repair soft tissue and articulating joints.
