| Russ Berrie and Company, Inc., incorporated in 1966, is a designer, importer, marketer and distributor of infant and juvenile and gift consumer products. The Company operates in two segments: infant and juvenile segment and gift segment. The Company's infant and juvenile segment designs, manufactures through third parties and markets products in a number of categories, including, among others, infant bedding and accessories, bath toys and accessories, developmental toys, feeding items and baby comforting products. The infant and juvenile segment consists of Kids Line LLC (Kids Line) and Sassy, Inc. (Sassy). These products are sold to consumers throughout the United States and worldwide via national accounts and independent retailers, including toy, specialty, food, drug, apparel and other retailers, and military post exchanges.
