|Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust is a fully integrated, self-administered equity real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company's primary business is the ownership and management of shopping centers located in metropolitan markets in the Eastern and Midwestern United States. At December 31, 2011, the Company owned interests in 83 shopping centers and one office building with approximately 15.2 million square feet of gross leasable area (GLA) owned by the Company and joint ventures. In April 2013, it acquired a 106,000 square foot shopping center in Delafield (Milwaukee), Wisconsin. In April 2013, Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust acquired Nagawaukee Center Phase II. In June 2013, Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust acquired Mount Prospect Plaza in Mount Prospect, Illinois. In August 2013, the Company announced that it has acquired Deer Grove Centre in Palatine, Illinois.
