(PHI) is a diversified energy company, which, through its operating subsidiaries, is engaged primarily in two businesses: electricity and natural gas delivery (Power Delivery), conducted through the regulated public utility companies, including Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco), Delmarva Power & Light Company (DPL), and Atlantic City Electric Company (ACE), and competitive energy generation, marketing and supply (Competitive Energy) conducted through subsidiaries of Conectiv Energy Holding Company (Conectiv Energy) and Pepco Energy Services, Inc. (Pepco Energy Services). PHI Service Company provides a variety of support services, including legal, accounting, treasury, tax, purchasing and information technology services to PHI and its operating subsidiaries. These services are provided pursuant to a service agreement among PHI, PHI Service Company, and the participating operating subsidiaries. |
