| MEDNAX, Inc. (MEDNAX) is a provider of physician services, including newborn, maternal-fetal, pediatric subspecialties and anesthesia care. As of December 31, 2011, the Company's national network consisted of 1,839 affiliated physicians, including 996 physicians who provided neonatal clinical care, in 34 states and Puerto Rico, primarily within hospital-based neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), to babies born prematurely or with medical complications. On December 31, 2012, the Company acquired Anesthesiologists Associated, P.C. In April 2013, MEDNAX Inc announced the acquisition of Neonatology Associates, Ltd. In May 2013, MEDNAX Inc acquired Gwinnett Anesthesia Service PC. |
