| Invacare Corporation (Invacare) is a manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment used in the home. The Company designs, manufactures and distributes a line of health care products for the non-acute care environment, including the home health care, retail and extended care markets. Invacare sells its products principally to over 25,000 home health care and medical equipment providers, distributors and government locations in the United States, Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Asia. Invacare also distributes medical equipment and disposable medical supplies manufactured by others. In March 2008, Invacare Corporation acquired the assets of Naylor Medical Sales & Rentals, Inc. (Naylor) a Tennessee corporation specializing in rentals, and in October 2008, the Company purchased a billing company operating as Homecare Collection Services (HCS). |
