| SPDR S&P International Consumer Staples Sector ETF (the Fund) seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the total return performance of the S&P Developed Ex-U.S. BMI Consumer Staples Sector Index (the Index), an index that tracks the consumer staples sector of developed global markets outside the United States. The Index represents the non-United States consumer staples sub-industry of developed countries included in the S&P Broad Market Index (the Global BMI Index). The Global BMI Index captures the full universe of institutionally investable stocks in developed and emerging markets with float-adjusted market capitalizations of at lease $100 million.
