| Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. (Havertys) is a specialty retailer of residential furniture and accessories. As of December 31, 2007, the Company operated over 123 stores serving 81 cities in 17 states in the Southern and Midwest regions. All of its stores are operated using the Havertys name and the Company does not franchise its stores. Havertys sells a line of residential furniture in the middle to upper-middle price ranges. A majority of the merchandise carried by Havertys bears the Havertys brand, Havertys Collections. It also offers bedding product lines of Sealy, Serta and Tempur-Pedic. It also offers financing through an internal revolving charge credit plan, as well as through a third-party finance company. |
