GreenHunter Resources, Inc. (GreenHunter), incorporated on June 7, 2005, provides Total Water Management Solutions for oil and gas exploration and production companies in shale or unconventional oil and gas exploration in the Marcellus, Eagle Ford and Bakken shale plays. It develops and manages salt water disposal wells, customized water purification facilities, fluid tracking systems, modular water tank storage, trucking, rail and barge modes of fluid transfer. The Company operates in three reportable segments: Water Management, Wind Energy, and Biomass. GreenHunter Water, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, acquired new equipment assets to be used to service long term contracts to haul and dispose produced water for oil companies that control mineral leasehold acreage positions in the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio and south Texas. In February 2012, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, GreenHunter Water, LLC, acquired three commercial salt water disposal (SWD) wells and associated facilities located in Washington County, Ohio and Lee County, Kentucky. On May 1, 2012, through GreenHunter Water, LLC it acquired three Class II salt water disposal wells located in Kingfisher County, Canadian County, and Washita County, Oklahoma.
