| Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is a provider of diagnostic testing, information and services. The Company offer patients and physicians the broadest access to diagnostic testing services through its network of laboratories and owned patient service centers, and interpretive consultation. It also provides gene-based testing and other esoteric testing, anatomic pathology services, including dermatopathology, and testing for drugs-of-abuse. It provides testing for clinical trials, and risk assessment services for the life insurance industry. The diagnostics products business manufactures and markets diagnostic test kits and point-of-care testing. During the year ended December 31, 2007, clinical testing accounted for 90% of the Company's revenues. Risk assessment services for the life insurance industry, clinical trials testing, diagnostic products and healthcare information technology combined generated approximately 9% of the 2007 net revenues. |
