| Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation is an independent oil and gas company engaged in the development, exploitation and exploration of oil and gas properties located in North America. The Company's five principal areas of operation are the Appalachian Basin, the Gulf Coast, including south and east Texas and north Louisiana, the Rocky Mountains, the Anadarko Basin and the deep gas basin of Western Canada. During the year ended December 31, 2007, natural gas production was 80.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf). Cabot Oil & Gas produced 85.5 billions of cubic feet equivalent (Bcfe), or 234.1 millions of cubic feet equivalent (Mmcfe) per day, in 2007. The Company drilled 461 gross wells in 2007.
