| Berry Petroleum Company is an independent energy company engaged in the production, development, exploitation and acquisition of crude oil and natural gas. The Company's principal reserves and producing properties are located in California, Texas (E. Texas and the Permian), Utah (Uinta) and Colorado (Piceance). All of its operations conducted in the United States. During the year ended December 31, 2010, it made made multiple acquisitions, each of which involved interests in properties located primarily in the Permian. It has six asset teams: South Midway-Sunset (S. Midway), North Midway-Sunset including Diatomite (N. Midway), Permian, Uinta, E. Texas and Piceance. At December 31, 2010, its proved undeveloped reserves were 137.5 millions barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE). On April 13, 2011, the Company entered into an agreement to acquire the interests in properties on approximately 6,000 net acres in the Wolfberry trend in the Permian. |
