The Company is a processor of oilseeds, corn, wheat, cocoa, and other feedstuffs, and is a manufacturer of soybean oil and protein meal, corn sweeteners, flour, biodiesel, ethanol, and other food and feed ingredients. The Company's operations are classified into three business segments: Oilseeds Processing, Corn Processing and Agricultural Services. The Company's remaining operations are aggregated and classified as Other. In August 2008, the French malting group Malteurop bought the malting division of Archer Daniels Midland Company. Malteurop is controlled by the French farm cooperative group Champagne Cereales and ADM Malting. |
