Slow Quote A quote published by a market center indicating that automatic execution is currently unavailable for that security at that market. The published quote can either be slow on both sides or slow on one side.   When a quote is slow, it can be traded through. Approved CTA (Consolidated Tape Association) indicators for slow quotes are A, B and H (ask, bid & both) and E, F and U (LRP, GAPs, non-fast) and W (set slow). Also referred to as Manual Quote.
