Introducing NYSE Liffe U.S.
NYSE Euronext – the world's largest and most diverse exchange group – has launched NYSE Liffe U.S., our new US futures exchange.
NYSE Liffe US was launched in 2008 and leverages NYSE Liffe's global distribution network, leading edge technology and broad range of risk management products to benefit its diverse customer base. Built with and for our customers and powered by our market leading LIFFE CONNECT® technology, NYSE Liffe US was launched with time-test products like gold and silver futures and options and since September 8, 2009, also offers new equity index futures based on MSCI indices.
NYSE Liffe US's product offering provides innovative and diverse opportunities. The NYSE LIFFE US metals suite of products includes a fully electronic, liquid market for physically deliverable gold and silver futures products. For more information on the metals suite click here. In addition, effective September 8, 2009, NYSE Liffe US will offer new equity index futures based on the following MSCI flagship indices:
- MSCI EAFE
- MSCI Emerging Markets
- MSCI USA
The new futures contracts provide our customers highly liquid investment tools to efficiently capture and hedge global equity market exposure, with the safety and transparency of a centrally cleared, electronic market. The September 8th launch marks the beginning of a substantial commitment from one of the world's leading index providers and NYSE Euronext to build new liquid benchmark products for the global investment community.
