Precious Metals
Our acquisition of the CBOT's precious metals complex from CME Group has brought trading of full-size and mini Gold and Silver futures, and options on futures contracts to NYSE Euronext's family of global exchanges.
On September 8, 2008 these products successfully transitioned to our new U.S. futures market, Gold and Silver remain available to trade on the existing platform, and no changes are necessary to current CBOT connectivity. CME will continue to clear the contracts on an interim basis. The addition of these contracts compliments our existing derivatives business, which includes a broad range of equities, financials and commodity products.
