NYSE Broker Volume Top 10 provides a way to identify the leaders in equity orderflow. The table below displays the top ten NYSE member firms by volume (shares-traded) for all NYSE and NYSE Arca-traded securities. Buy and sell volume is combined into a total volume figure for each participating member firm. The list updates on trading days after the market closes.

* Total Shares Traded is expressed in twice total volume (TTV) where both the buy and sell shares are counted for each trade. The conventional practice for calculating NYSE Volume totals includes only the amount of shares sold and therefore amounts to roughly half of Shares Traded figures used in the Broker Volume rankings. In certain instances, Total Shares Traded will amount to more or less than double that of NYSE Volume due to certain adjustments and other trasactions that are not eligible for reporting to the consolidated tape and NYSE official volume.
