Executives and guests of Houston, Texas based Hi-Crush Partners, a leading domestic producer of frac sand, will visit the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to celebrate the company’s initial public offering. Hi-Crush Partners will begin trading today on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “HCLP”. |
In honor of the occasion, Chief Executive Officers Robert Rasmus and James Whipkey, joined by members of the company’s management team, will ring the NYSE Opening Bell.

Hi-Crush is a domestic producer of monocrystalline sand, a specialized mineral that is used as a “proppant” (frac sand) to enhance the recovery rates of hydrocarbons from oil and natural gas wells. Hi-Crush’s reserves, which are located in Wyeville, Wisconsin, consist of “Northern White” sand, a resource that exists predominately in Wisconsin and limited portions of the upper Midwest region of the United States.
