Kaplan Professional
Kaplan Professional, a unit of Kaplan, Inc., helps individuals prepare for the CFA, CFP, CAIA, FRM, and CPA examinations, as well as Securities, Insurance and Real Estate licensing exams.

In November 1999, Kaplan acquired Schweser Study Program, which had become a global leader in CFA exam preparation under the direction of Dr. Carl Schweser and his wife Julie.  Schweser, formerly a finance professor at the University of Iowa, taught his first CFA candidates at the Study Seminar for Financial Analysts (SSFA) in Ontario, Canada in 1984 and was mentored by Dr. Ed Rosenbaum – considered by many to be the father of CFA Review.

Dr. Andrew Temte, CFA, is Kaplan Professional’s Chief Executive Officer.  Temte had been working with Schweser since its inception in 1990 and formed Temte’s Financial Education with his wife Linda to sell ancillary products to CFA candidates in 1996.  After both companies were sold to Kaplan, production and customer service functions moved from Iowa City, IA to La Crosse, WI in 2000.

Kaplan, Inc. is a leading international provider of educational and career services for individuals, schools and businesses.
