Its principal operating subsidiaries in each division include Veolia Eau Compagnie Generale des Eaux (water), Veolia Proprete (environmental services), Dalkia (energy services) and Veolia Transport (transportation). On December 16, 2008, the Company sold the Clemessy and Crystal businesses in the Energy services division. In February 2010, the Company's subsidiary, Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp., completed the disposal of its American Energy-from-Waste business to Covanta Holding Corporation.
