(Concho) is an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in the acquisition, development and exploration of oil and natural gas properties. The Company's principal operating areas are located in the Permian Basin region of Southeast New Mexico and West Texas, an onshore oil and natural gas basin in the United States. As of December 31, 2009, 97.3% of Concho's total estimated net proved reserves were located in its principal operating areas and consisted of approximately 67.2% oil and 32.8% natural gas. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company produced approximately 10.9 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBoe) and 7.1 MMBoe of oil and natural gas. During the year ended December 31, 2009, Concho completed the acquisitions of two interests the Wolfberry play in the Permian Basin.
