Lizandro Mateo-Ortiz, Army Sergeant First Class, rings The Closing Bell® to honor U.S. Soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
HAI is hosting a group of recently wounded soldiers on tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and medical staff for a weekend of honor in New York City. The group traveled to New York City from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where the soldiers are currently receiving treatment. In addition to ringing The Closing Bell at the NYSE, this “Weekend for Heroes” includes a private welcome at 7 World Trade Center for an expansive view of Ground Zero, a World Yacht Hudson River cruise, Broadway shows, and much more.
