The New York Jets Visit the NYSE

07/20/2009

New York Jets visit the NYSE. In honor of the occasion, New York Jets Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Woody Johnson rings The Closing Bell®, joined by Executive Vice President & GM Mike Tannenbaum, Head Coach Rex Ryan, and former Jets player Curtis Martin.

2009 marks the 50th season of the franchise that began as the Titans of New York in 1960. The team became the Jets in 1963 and went on to shock the world in Super Bowl III with the improbable win over the Baltimore Colts, changing the face of the NFL. Since Woody Johnson purchased the team in 2000, the franchise has posted six winning seasons, appeared in six postseason games and captured an AFC East division title in 2002. In September 2008, the organization moved into the state-of-the-art Atlantic Health Jets Training Center located in Florham Park, N.J. In 2010, Johnson will deliver on his promise of giving the team and its fans a new home field when the New Jets Stadium opens its doors.
