The Company's operates its business primarily through its subsidiary, AMB Property, L.P. (operating partnership). As of December 31, 2008, it owned an approximate 96.6% general partnership interest in the operating partnership, excluding preferred units. On July 18, 2008, the Company, through its affiliate, acquired the remaining 42% interest in G. Accion, S.A. de C.V.
