Over the past several months, NYSE Euronext has been publicly advocating on behalf of our issuers for the reinstatement of a deterrent against abusive short selling. In doing so, we have joined with other U.S. exchanges to develop a modernized application of the former uptick rule and proposed this solution to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
