Fornix BioSciences is an exchange listed company (Euronext Amsterdam: AFORBI) which focuses on the development and sale of diagnostic and therapeutic anti-allergen products, and the distribution of medical aids and medical and nursing supplies. These activities are divided into two divisions working in separate operating companies: the Allergy Division and the Medical Supplies Division.
Mr Bergman was employed by Fokker B.V. in Amsterdam from 1979 to 1988, where, from 1983 onwards, he held various financial executive posts. On 1 February 1988, Mr Bergman joined ARTU Biologicals N.V. as Financial Manager. In 1990, Mr Bergman was appointed Deputy Managing Director, whereby he also joined the Board of Directors. In 1996, Mr Bergman was appointed Managing Director under the Articles of Association responsible for general matters, marketing and finances. After the merger between ARTU Biologicals N.V. and Dr. Fisher Farma B.V., Mr Bergman was appointed Managing Director under the Articles of Association responsible for financial matters. During the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on 14 August 2003, Mr Bergman was appointed CEO of Fornix BioSciences N.V., in succession to Mr T. Visser.
