His Highness, Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, rings The Opening BellSM.

Appointed Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait in February 2006. Prior to assuming the post of Prime Minister, His Highness served as Minister of the Al-Diwan Al-Amiri Affairs (Royal Court), Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Minister of Information, and Ambassador to Iran and Afghanistan. His Highness graduated from the University of Geneva in 1964 with a BA in Political Science and Economics. Married with two sons, he is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Persian.
His Highness met with NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer and commenced the day’s trading by ringing the NYSE Opening Bell.
"We are delighted to welcome His Highness on his first visit to the NYSE," said Mr. Niederauer. "We look forward to furthering our relationship with Kuwait, and the prospect of listing the first company from Kuwait on our markets."
