His Excellency, Viktor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, visits the NYSE. President Yushchenko met with NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer and commenced the day’s trading by ringing the NYSE Opening BellSM.
"It’s my pleasure to welcome back His Excellency Yushchenko to the NYSE," said Mr. Niederauer. "Three years ago the President paid a visit to the NYSE, and this morning, we had another fruitful discussion. I look forward to furthering our strong partnership, and to listing companies from Ukraine on our markets."
Mr. Niederauer also met with President Yushchenko early this year at the World Economic Forum in Davos and visited Ukraine in May 2008.

His Excellency Viktor Andriyovych Yushchenko (born February 23, 1954) is the third President of Ukraine. He took office on January 23, 2005. As an informal leader of the Ukrainian opposition coalition, he was one of the two main candidates in the October–November 2004 Ukrainian presidential election. Yushchenko won the election through a revote of the runoff between him and Viktor Yanukovych, the government supported candidate.
