Leading Low-Fare Carrier Southwest Airlines Celebrates 38 Years of Flying

Southwest Airlines (NYSE-Listed LUV) in Celebration of 38 Years of Flying  visits the NYSE. In honor of the occasion, Chairman, President and CEO Gary Kelly, accompanied by several of his employees involved in bringing Southwest to New York's LaGuardia airport later this month, ring The Opening BellSM.

Prior to the bell ringing, Gary Kelly will help hand out birthday cupcakes and Southwest’s signature LIFT coffee outside the Exchange. Southwest Airlines officially begins its service to LaGuardia with eight daily roundtrips on June 28. Southwest also serves New York via Long Island's McCarthur Airport with 27 daily roundtrips.
