The bell ringing is part of a year-long initiative – GMnext – which celebrates GM’s history of innovation and its commitment to advancing automotive design and technology.  Through interaction with employees, consumers, media and thought leaders around the world, GMnext has created a global dialogue on the future of automotive transportation. GMnext will culminate with a day-long series of events in Detroit on September 16 to mark the beginning of GM’s second century.
