Bristow Group Inc. is a provider of helicopter services to the offshore energy industry with global operations. The Company has operations in the United States Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea, and operations in several offshore oil and gas producing regions of the world, including Alaska, Australia, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia and Trinidad. It also provides production management services for oil and gas production facilities in the United States Gulf of Mexico. As of March 31, 2007, the Company operated 345 aircraft and its unconsolidated affiliates operated 143 aircraft, in addition to those aircraft leased from the Company. On April 2, 2007, it acquired Helicopter Adventures, Inc. (HAI) (renamed Bristow Academy, Inc.) In November 2007, Bristow Group Inc. acquired Vortex Helicopters, Inc. (renamed Bristow Academy Inc., New Iberia Campus), a flight training school based in New Iberia, Los Angeles.
