Genesco Inc. is a retailer of branded footwear, licensed and branded headwear, and a wholesaler of branded footwear. The Company's businesses include the design or sourcing, marketing and distribution of footwear, principally under the Johnston & Murphy and Dockers brands. During the fiscal year ended February 2, 2008 (fiscal 2008), the Company operated five business segments: Journeys Group, comprises the Journeys, Journeys Kidz and Shi by Journeys retail footwear chains, catalog and e-commerce operations; Underground Station Group, comprises the Underground Station and Jarman retail footwear chains, and e-commerce operations; Hat World Group, comprises the Hat World, Lids, Hat Shack, Hat Zone, Head Quarters, Cap Connection and Lids Kids retail headwear chains, and e-commerce operations; Johnston & Murphy Group, comprises Johnston & Murphy retail operations, catalog and e-commerce operations, and wholesale distribution, and Licensed Brands, comprises primarily of Dockers footwear.
