Sybase, Inc. (NYSE-Listed SY) visits the NYSE to kick off the 2008 Sybase Classic. In honor of the occasion, Chairman, CEO and President John Chen of Dublin, California-based Sybase and Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Commissioner Carolyn Bivens ring The Opening BellSM.
Joining them on the bell podium will be several LPGA players, including top-ranked female golfer Lorena Ochoa, the reigning two-time Rolex Player of the Year and Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year, who will return to the Tri-State area in quest of her third straight Sybase Classic victory.

The Sybase Classic
The Sybase Classic presented by ShopRite will be held May 15 - 18 at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, N.J. Over the past 18 years, the event has grown into one of the most respected international tournaments on the LPGA Tour. The greatest lady golfers in the world will be competing for a newly increased $2 million purse.
In addition to showcasing golf, this premier sporting event focuses the national spotlight on the local community. Proceeds from the event will go to support the event’s two official charities, the St. Joseph's Healthcare System, Inc. and the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton, Inc.
