Concho Resources Inc. (Concho Resources) is an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in the acquisition, development, exploitation and exploration of oil and natural gas properties. The Company's conventional operations are primarily focused in the Permian Basin of Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. These conventional operations are complemented by its activities in unconventional emerging resource plays. As of December 31, 2007, 99% of Concho Resources' total estimated net proved reserves were located in the Permian Basin and consisted of approximately 59% crude oil and 41% natural gas. During the year ended December 31, 2007, it drilled 117 gross (87.7 net) wells, 85% of which were completed as producers, 2% of which were dry holes and 13% of which were awaiting completion. In 2007, the Company recompleted, or participated in the recompletion of, 132 gross (107.8 net) wells, 95% of which were productive.
