Kite Realty Group Trust is a full-service, vertically integrated real estate investment trust engaged in the ownership, operation, management, leasing, acquisition, construction, expansion and development of neighborhood and community shopping centers, and certain commercial real estate properties in selected markets in the United States. It also provides real estate facility management, construction, development and other advisory services to third parties. It operates through two segments: real estate operation and development, and construction and advisory services. At December 31, 2007, the Company owned interests in 55 operating properties, consisting of 50 retail properties, four commercial operating properties and an associated parking garage. It conducts all of its business through Kite Realty Group, L.P. (the Operating Partnership), of which the Company is the sole general partner. As of December 31, 2007, it held an approximate 78% interest in its Operating Partnership.
